About Me

 I am a primary school teacher and share my mother's love and passion for cooking traditional family meals. I was encouraged from an early age to enjoy, and be interested in traditional Greek cooking, at times experimenting with different flavours and ingredients. I always strove to perfect my mum’s cooking and it brought me great joy and happiness to see love and laughter amongst family and friends.

I was inspired to write this cookbook to celebrate my mum's authentic and traditional recipes from her homeland that she loved. It has been a great journey, as well as exciting, dedicating this book to my mum.

I am truly honoured and proud to do this for my mum so that the tradition is passed onto the next generation.

I cherish and love my Greek heritage. My parents started a Delicatessen business in the 1980’s showcasing Greek products in the heart of Marrickville in Sydney. It has become iconic and still exists today even though under a different ownership.

I am proud to be involved in the Greek community and my recipe cookbook and other cookbooks to follow embrace my Greek heritage that I would like to in still and maintain within the community.

With modernisation and socialisation, it is people like you that I would like to embrace and socialise my recipe cookbook to reach the broader audience.

 My recipe cookbook is a celebration of my mum’s traditional Greek recipes presented in both English and Greek. My recipe cookbook has been an overwhelming success for many reasons. There are priceless shared memories between Grandmother and Granddaughter cooking together, one representing the older Greek generation and the other representing the newer Greek generation, who do not always know and understand the Greek language.
